At Merryvale Nursery, we provide a caring and inspiring environment where your child can grow, explore, and thrive. Our experienced qualified staff team are motivated and passionate about supporting each child’s individual development through a balance of learning experiences, play and nurturing care.

Our Forest School and allotment area offer children daily opportunities to explore the natural world, build confidence, and develop valuable outdoor skills. Through activities such as planting, growing, and discovering the changing seasons, children learn through hands-on experiences designed to support their individual age and stage of development.

We offer a variety of exciting activities to spark creativity and well being, including:

Music Bus sessions to inspire rhythm, instruments, movement and a love of music from around the world.
Yoga to support mindfulness, balance and relaxation.
Outdoor Art studio, where children can express themsleves through creativity, using a variety of resources.
Healthy Me, cooking experiences using wholesome and nourishing ingredients, using vegetables we have grown ourselves.
Path to school in our Badger and Owl room, getting children school ready with realistic ambitons, meetings with parents end of each term.
Library and books, we love to read and talk about books in all their glory, expanding on the parts of a book, illustrations and authors. You can also borrow a book to take it home and read together, to bring back and borrow more.
Woodworking using real child sized tools like saws and hammers on a one to one ratio, learning new skills and confidence.

Each experience is carefully planned to be inclusive, engaging, and appropriate for your child’s age and stage of development, helping to nurture confidence, independence, and a lifelong love of learning.
