Our nursery is proud of its outdoor environment, with two of our rooms benefiting from free-flow access directly into the gardens, allowing children to explore the outdoors throughout the day. Children enjoy a rich variety of outdoor learning opportunities, including our dedicated Forest School area, mud kitchen, sand shed, and small allotment space, where they can discover nature, take managed risks, and build important life skills through hands-on experiences. We are proud to have a fully trained Forest School Lead who delivers engaging outdoor sessions that encourage resilience, confidence, problem-solving, and an understanding of the natural world.

At the heart of Tinkerbells Nursery is our unique curriculum, carefully designed to nurture the whole child and inspire curiosity, creativity, and independence. Children benefit from a wide range of enriching experiences, including access to a dedicated library, an inspiring art studio, and opportunities to learn practical gardening skills within our allotment area. Creativity and self-expression are encouraged through our music programme, expressive arts, and sensory learning opportunities, while our woodwork experiences allow children to safely explore tools, construction, and problem-solving skills.

Children’s wellbeing is central to everything we do. Our curriculum promotes healthy eating and nutrition, yoga and mindfulness, emotional wellbeing, and positive relationships through the company’s Kindness Code.

Our longstanding and dedicated staff team are passionate about supporting every child as an individual. Through child-led play and carefully planned learning opportunities, our knowledgeable practitioners scaffold each child’s development and help them build the confidence and skills they need for the future.

We are also proud to be an active part of our local community. Children regularly take part in community experiences such as litter picking, visits to local shops, and exploring the library, helping them develop an understanding of the world around them while building confidence, communication skills, and respect for their local community.
